Thinking ahead to the Leeds v Luton game...

Posted by ginelli on 28/6/2020, 19:47:00

It's going to be tough. On paper Leeds will be fresher than us. This and their last game was at home. There will be no crowd admittedly but they have not had to travel.

We, on the other hand, have travelled to Swansea (200 miles x 2) and got back on Sat evening. We'll be off again tomorrow (I'm assuming) or early Tuesday for a 160 mile journey.

Good move from the club to bring the Swansea game back to 12.30pm which will help. A real tough game though. It wouldn't surprise me if we're unable to put in the same performance as vs Swansea.

I'm mentally prepared for a defeat. A draw would be such a valuable point, especially if Hull and Huddersfield lose their next game. I can hope for 3 points but it's the hope that kills you.

The buzz is there however and for that I'm grateful. We're still in it and so chuffed football is back.

Come on the Town! I'll be willing you on come 7.45pm Tuesday

It's a shot to nothing. A free hit. They can go and give it a good shot, and play with freedom, knowing there's little to lose. With the right attitude, who knows what my happen?

It's the hope that kills you but it's also what makes life worth living. I said we'd win 1-0 at Swansea and 1-0 at Leeds. Something in the stars. A last minute Collins winner.

Tuesday is virtually a free hit - I think that most people would have said before kick-off on Saturday that two points from the two away games would be a reasonable return and three would be good.

3already is more than I thought we would get in both games. Hence as you say a free hit Tuesday.
