    EFL vote

Will be interesting to see how we vote , logically we will vote to continue however financially it may make more sense to vote for ending season. No contract issues. & get rid out out of contract players quickly.
Or spend more money and probably go down anyway.

get rid out out of contract players quickly.

      How do we do that?

Quicker than if we want to play them in games which go on past the end of their contract date.

We still have to pay them until the end of July unless they get another contract somewhere else (can't see anyone wanting to sign players that early) so probably the same either way.

Also no real TV cash in League 1. Compared to probably a reasonable amount in The Championship.

Plus if and when fans do come back far bigger away followings and much greater sponsorship revenue in meantime. The standard in L1 is so poor relatively that BCD viewing figures would probably be much lower.

Financially trying to play the games and stay in The Championship would make most sense.

Given the number of clubs above us that have completely overstretched themselves, if we survive we might end up not too far from the Premier League.

6\7 million in sky money for the championship teams. Then about 100k for hosting a tv game. About a million in league 1

The bottom 3 will vote to play. As will teams in 7-11. The rest have no incentive to do so and so the season has finished.

I'm not quite sure whey they are giving teams a vote.

Why don't they just tell them to play in The Championship?

                That was my thinking.

The EFL are there to govern. They are, once again, bottling making a decision by saying, "this is what the clubs voted for". Piss poor leadership in my opinion.

Give them a forum to express their views by all means but make a bloody decision themselves.

Clearly most teams will vote to end the season. We are screwed
