      The number of new cases continues to fall, which is the metric to use to see if things are improving.

        The demographics of Italy are different in many ways to the UK, such as % of elderly, % of elderly living with family, also once the virus gets into the care home system then it becomes a huge problem. Not negating how sad and traumatic this all is but you would hope other countries would learn, however some in this country seem to think it doesn't apply to them.

                It's not good. If there is no vaccine or cure surely as soon as we all "come out" again it will re-emerge and we'll be locked back down?
