I'm 'gearing up' for retirement. Have to say days of pottering in the garden, doing errands for the kids and playing golf (as well as watching the mighty Hatters) fills me with joy. I've worked my ass off for 30 years. Time to knock that on the head even though I love my job. I think this time now with everywhere shut (pubs/retaurtants/golf club etc) is definitely a bit dull. I love eating out.

I was thinking of going in about 4 years once we've helped mini-Gander through her Uni years but am wondering if I'll be able to now. Not sure how all this will hit pension funds, the government is going to have to claw back all this money somehow.

Retired last year but made arrangements to work 2 days a week.

Keeps me in touch, keeps body & mind active, and earns me extra pocket money.

I find it's a nice balance for me, especially as the wife still works 4 days a week
