    Schools remaining open

    Posted by lutonsteve2 on 23/3/2020, 19:33:30

Most schools are running on a skeleton staffing with a few dozen children in (children of key workers). Each teacher is in only on one day this week.

Other staff not in on each day are on standby and have to be ready to come in as and when they are required.

    A sensible outcome I feel.

    That is my school.

I hope when this is over teachers, nurses etc get the recognition they deserve and a bloody hefty pay increase.

Nurses are much deserving of credit than teachers but appreciate the thought

We are going to be in economic dire straits for years to come too, so deserving or not, I can’t see many hefty pay rises being awarded anywhere.

They are doing a week on and week off.
