If you are fortunate to still be paid 80% there is probably no reason not to pay. The 20% may be money you would normally spend on travel and other non essentials (saving for holiday)
However if people have built up debt on say a number of cards, they are going to struggle. Whilst payment holidays will probably be available, people with poor credit lines will have gone to lenders that are probably going to be less approachable and probably charging sky high rates.
I am sure if the government are subsidising wages they will expect those with mortgages to continue to pay.
These are just my thoughts, Iím no expert.
