Absolutely disgusting service at Schiphol airport. 55 minutes we have been stood in the immigration queue. This isn’t the Brexit I voted for.

Schiphol has the entire customs hall closed during renovations ,this is causing the delays . This chaps tweet does seem to have an air of entitlement about it though.

Getting on housing lists, on the roads, on public transport.

Made worse by the 300,000 people a year coming in from abroad each year since Tony Blair let the world in unlimited.

More important than some ponce on a holiday waiting a few minutes.

How much council housing is there since Maggie flogged it off?

If you have the misfortune to use the L+D at the weekend when the pubs are turning out you won't here many foreign voices, just the locals.

That's cos the foreign voices are unconscious thru' booze.
Working on the SOS bus we often have to deal with comatose Romanian & Polish 'clients' passed out around the town centre.
Not saying the locals aren't bad but they get to A+E generally cos their friends get them there not an ambulance.

300,000 is 0.4% of the population of this country.

I'd suggest a lack of government spending since 2010 is probably more of a cause to those problems than anything else.

you can go a lot lot further back than 2010 for the lack of government spending on housing, roads etc....

5 mins to get through Changi in Singapore, its not the passport, its the response from the EU countries that have got the hump.same in Melbourne and Auckland, if you are efficient, it takes no time at all.

no!thats the point why should the colour of a passport determine the experience holders have in passing through an airport. In changhi if you fill in your landing card online it is even quicker, Melbourne was very quick, place your passport in the terminal on landing and you are through immigration in no time at all, Auckland again is a process that works every quickly. how do i know i am in Singapore now as i write this, having passed through Oz and NZ.

Yeah, two of those airports you're only in transit.

Tick the box on the landing card into OZ telling them you might be carrying food stuffs (even for us Aussies) and it becomes a completely different ball game.

but in Oz the landing card i agree, tick the box for medication or food and customs is a smooth transit. i was not in transit, a week in Singapore, a week in Melbourne followed by 2 weeks in NZ and return via Singapore for 3 days on the way home.i think my experience is a valid one. what part of Oz do you live?

OK, i have not been to Adelaide, but have visited Sydney and Melbourne and loved the experience, the airport procedures work well in both cities. I did the bridge climb at night in Sydney, fantastic, but i enjoyed Melbourne more, the locals i found to be much friendlier.
