Me, I mean. I didn't know until I got back to the Brickies that we'd missed a penalty!

Much love and congratulations to The Outsider, he's not "a" he is "the".

I remember years ago, we played Welling in a PSF. The following week, I had a call from someone who had been there saying that he had just bought the Luton News and it said that we had won 1-0. I asked why he was querying it and he said that it was a goalless draw. He went to the loo just before half time and we scored (Mark Stein, I believe) in first half injury time and he didn't realise.

The other way round, after the "Steve Howard game" at York, we got back on the coach and the radio was on. They gave out that we had won 2-1. Three passengers queried this as they were convinced that it had finished 2-2. After the penalty incident, York went up the other end and got the ball in the net. With all of the furore going on between Howard and Nicholls, they didn't realise that it had been disallowed.

I missed Cullen's equalizer at Blackpool in the play-offs when he made it 2-2.

As still at bar and no noise from their fans due to boycott.

When they scored their 3rd 20 mins later I turned to Crumps and said that a draw is still a good result. At which point he informed they had also scored 20 mins earlier.

I left that York game thinking it was 2-2 as well. I was queuing at the food hut, and saw the penalties, and saw York's "goal", but I didn't notice it being disallowed, as I was being served by then.

I thought the celebrations at the end of the game were a bit OTT for a draw! I didn't find out the true result until I heard it on the radio whilst driving home.

Remember the York game well. Some of us thought that would be the last time Steve Howard would be selected to play for us, thank goodness was.

Didn't Howard score in the next game - home to Torquay, 5 1 with Valois making his debut?

No, that was the next but one game. He was dropped for the Lincoln game in between those two - Chris Coyner scored an own goal on his debut in that game.
