Sort of player we should be pushing the boat out for instead of mediocre Croatian goalkeepers.

Yes, we should definitely be forking out 2.5m on a player that's known to have attitude issues and has never played at this level before.

We do have a number of players and coaching staff never been involved at this level...

So another one probably wouldn't be ideal. Especially not at that price.

How many did we pay 2.5 million for?

There's nothing wrong with spending that kind of money on a player if he has resale value.

Potential resale value is a good reason of course but it's far from certain. Absolutely no player anywhere comes with a guarantee. You could sign the best ever left back from League One for a million only to watch him tank in the Championship in a struggling team and end up letting him go for next to nothing.

Exactly. I'm sure when we signed Sluga it was with the thought of the upward resale value

Well in that case then I suggest you pop over to KR now, let 2020 know that you've got a spare few million kicking around to invest in players that you know have got a resale value and who most definitely won't sit out their contract and leave for nothing at the end

Hardly surprising since they've got away with riding roughshod over the ownership rules and are now basically owned by, er, a 'similar' group to Manchester City.

You can probably expect a 'similar' buying of success, I guess.
