    Transfer Window

Would you rather the club invested wisely into new talent or splashed the cash in desperation to stay up.

Personally I think planning for a league 1 title push next year is a better approach.

Spend any spare cash on the here and now. Tomorrow may never come. Tomorrow will have to look after itself. What is the point of worrying about league 1 or having no money. Let's do this now. Spend it on a few mercenaries . Get the job done.

Great idea. That’s always worked well in the past.

If we overspend now, tomorrow may well never come. Have you really not understood any of what has been said on this subject?

But we still have the issue of wages, budgets etc if promoted back up,

the present team was not built for the championship, we won promotion a couple of years early. We will now have to rebuild the squad with the championship in mind, when we return to the championship we will be much better positioned to survive and improve.

not quite true though as there were lots of quotes along lines of we are signing players for the Championshi.

Maybe we got promoted a year or 2 earlier but in a season when Sunderland and Pompey underachieved, you can hardly tell the players to hold off.

And we are not down yet anyway.

Does being a complete and utter tw@t come naturally to you or is it something you’ve practiced over many years?

That's exactly how I feel. The money situation right now will change. Something will have to give or clubs will be going out of business every season.
                  2020 I trust.

Yes, but we are capable of competing and being successful in League One - are you suggesting that if we go down and then find ourselves in a promotion race next season, we should intentionally fail? Of course we are going to try to be as successful as we can with the resources that we have. If that means yo-yoing between League One and the Championship for a handful of seasons until PC is ready, then that is what will happen. Maybe we might overachieve and stay up for an extra season or two though, you never know.

If you post a poll I would bet splash the cash in desperation would win.
