Amazing stats. However, do you have details on the less successful ins/outs?

Are the numbers correct as fairly certain they had to give us a reasonable chunk of Andre’s sell on and suspect other teams negotiated similar deals ?

They finished 5th in their first season in the Chanpionship. Bloody hell that's impressive!

They drew v Middlesbrough in 1st leg of the play off semis.

Should have won. Andre missed an absolute sitter, but then scored a harder chance.

I've been aware of Moneyball but not read up more about it.

How long have Brentford been using it?

Not so sure about the shoestring budget. That clubs had tens of millions pumped into it in the last few years.

True but the overall philosophy of buying players cheap and selling then on for big profits has worked.

Good in theory, Doubt it will be easy to find a club willing to give us a profit on the 1.3 million we spent on Sluga and downright impossible for that club, if there were one, to make a further profit on selling him.

generally goalkeepers don't go for big money compared to outfield players, particularly attacking ones, anyway.

In this league 1.3 million is not big money. It wouldn't pay Mitrovic's wages for three months!

I meant big money in terms of what we end up selling him for.

ie you wouldn't generally sign a young keeper from abroad for 1m and expect to sell him for 10m, whereas with a striker it might be possible.

But it would buy A PROVEN CHAMPIONSHIP STRIKER apparently, as if we "hadn't of wasted our entire budget on Sluga" we'd have been able to sign one

No we wouldn't, We'd need £5 million minimum to get an average championship striker
