The Reading museum has a superb collection of artifacts from the Roman town of Silchester and some of the best wooden Roman objects I've ever seen anywhere. And it's 5 minutes walk from the station and most of the good pubs

Obviously neither of you have any culture. Perhaps if I tell you the museum has a cabinet dedicated to the one trophy more than Twatford that they won

To be fair going to watch football and then to visit a museum on the same day aren't exactly natural bed fellows.

I went to the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Museum on a match day in the morning and to the pub from midday, it can be done.

I thought with you being such a mahusive patriot and all you'd take more interest in the history of these islands.

Only the indigenous, Anglo-Saxon, bits, none of that wop rubbish.

The term "Anglo-Saxon" is a fairly modern invention.

Well, depends on the timescale. More modern than the wheel, for example.

                      FOREIGN MUCK.

Saying that, he's made it clear in the past that he holds anybody of German descent presently responsible for both world wars so I imagine that even the Saxon element causes a little turmoil inside that tiny little mind.

Probably both explains and is explained by the lack of interest in the history of a nation exclusively populated by immigrants.

                        Cheers, Jim
