    Forget Sluga

Mistakes happen more concerned with the fact that we are hardly creating any chances from open play. We seem bereft of ideas in the final third.Cornick is far to light weight upfront to easily robbed of possession and not strong enough to force past defenders. The only player that looks as if he can unlock a defence is Brown .

15 goals scored puts us in top half of the club's. So not of an odd comment

And yet we seem to frequently try to get to the byline and pull it back to score as per McManaman's goal on Wednesday and Collins incredible miss yesterday.

Cornick put in three right wing crosses in the first half, before he got injured. The first was the Collins miss, the second was scrambled away at the near post, the third missed everyone. He put in one cross in the second half but soon after appeared to be injured again.

Itís not slugaís thought is it now but I suppose u blame Collins for us losing

Not at all, Collins has won us enough points over the last couple of years so deserves some slack, he's not perfect and I don't expect him to be. But I don't think blaming the goalkeeper for a lack of attacking threat is fair - Sluga deserves a certain amount of criticism, of course, but the level is a bit over the top at the moment.

I think weíre a good side and play good stuff , but he should off been dropped after qpr , heís had enough chances

And I won't be complaining if he is dropped, either. It may do him some good, as well as us, and in the long run we may end up with a better keeper on our hands which is what we all want. As I said, I just don't like the level of abuse he is getting at the moment, from his own fans.

I would never abuse a man that puts a Luton shirt on , but heís got to go , canít do the simple stuff , 11 games played and heís made 6-7 mistakes , and bad ones as well , from the conference back to the championship I ainít seen any off our keepers that bad

Posted by Garstang Hatter on 6/10/2019, 21:13:13, in reply to "Re: Forget Sluga"

Is it easier to train a keeper who can already pull off world class saves to also do the simple stuff, or to train a keeper who can already do the simple stuff to pull off world class saves?

There is potential there - he may need dropping now to give him some time and space to settle down, but I wouldn't write him off at this stage. Far too soon.
