So today's ludicrous No Deal and Johnson trashing their own principles.

Is lying to Her Majesty, The Queen.

Yes, treating the Monarch is now acceptable in the name of forcing through a type of Brexit a minority of voters will have positively voted for.

A reminder in the link. This is what the Leave campaign spearheaded by Boris Johnson was saying during the referendum.

I shall one day write the 3rd line in a form of English that makes sense,

Anyway, Johnson is treating Her Majesty like a mug in football MB parlance

Not really, Scottish constitutional law is different to English law so the Supreme Court will back the government more than likely.

According to some blokes in a backward country that loves to meddle in English affairs but we canít touch theirs.
Independence? Bring it on. They know which side their bread is buttered. They wonít leave the union. (Unfortunately) !!

'Some blokes' who know far more about the law than you, I or anybody involved in the situation have declared an opinion based on their knowledge of the law.

Try not to be so bitter.

So if their 'opinion' is correct.
Parliament will be recalled. Borris will be clapped in irons. Brexit won't go ahead (despite the popular vote) and the remainers will do a little dance and wet their pants in celebration.

But we all know that isn't the case and their 'opinion' means diddly squat.

Odd bunch of conclusions to come to. You sound very bitter and deluded.

But itís you thatís panicking now you know that Brexit is going to happen. Thanks to all the snowflakes we now have a leader that will take us out of Europe but is good for fcuk all else. BJ is a buffoon and will not make a good PM. Had we sorted Brexit out in a timely and organised fashion, this clown would not be PM.
Tory will trounce Labour whenever the GE is, unless Grandad and Abbott move over, therefore BJ will rule supreme.
So when he fecks the job up and youíre looking for someone to blame. Have a good long look in the mirror.

It clearly hasn't occurred to you that Puppet Boris has been put up to preside over this clusterfuck precisely because nobody else wants it on their CV, much as they stand to benefit from it.

Despite how much money some of these parasites stand to make from a No Deal Brexit, absolutely none of them want to be seen to be responsible for the ensuing economic catastrophe that the rest of us will experience.

Because, right, it's a REALLY FUCKING STUPID IDEA.

                        Cheers, Jim

                          None of that makes sense.

The thing that gets me about leavers and remainers is that you all seem to think it ends with us leaving the eu or remaining and your side winning. Youíre wrong

This will never ever stop. If we leave there will be a party standing at every election wanting to rejoin the eu immediately. If we remain Farage and co will keep wanting to leave. Leave with a deal and the remainers and Farage will both be around until they get their way.

We can pretend we are in chaos now and getting brexit done will fix it. It wonít. Nothing will. Meanwhile the tw@ responsible is writing his memoirs in a 100k shed on wheels.

Yes its a curse for our generation. But one of the many bits of utter dishonesty employed by Johnson is this idea that No Deal Brexit ends the immediate problems.
We will always have to have a close relationships with our closest neighbours and main trading partner. Regardless of any outcome this is the unchanging truth of our geography.

His advocated course puts us in the worse position. Weaker, isolated and a 3rd country to the EU. Who will have seen us renege on our agreement made earlier this year, so trust will be low. This will drag on for years and incidentally we will have already played our alleged trump card of No Deal. No Deal is the single worse outcome for anyone wanting Brexit to end

The single easiest outcome is to Remain in the UK as that involves the least negotiation and risk. That is the best course over the short to medium term for Brexit and the EU to take up less of all of our time

Re: Boris lies to the Queen

Remain doesnít end it. It just means we have Farage and his 52% forever in the background. Give Farage his no deal and the remainers will remain. There is no way to get the monster back in the box. We might keep it quiet for a few years but every election we will have the same arguments.

Re: Boris lies to the Queen

Posted by Joris Bohnson on 11/9/2019, 15:44:24, in reply to "Re: Boris lies to the Queen "

Yes there is no silver bullet t take this away

Remain takes the arguments and negotiations with the EU off the table pretty quickly. It also takes No Deal crash backlash off the table.

A Deal (at least the current Withdrawal Agreement) still leaves most of our relationship to be negotiated so these arguments will run on for years

Farage and his gang will be banging on regardless of any outcome. Because at the end of the day the thing that they are most against is reality itself. So they will always find something to blame Europe for. In or out. That also includes a No Deal whose inevitable consequences will be blamed on Parliament for not believing and the EU for whatever nefarious thing Farage, Johnson and Rees-Mogg invent to excuse their own failings

As for the 52%. Changing demographics and people changing minds make this now out of date. Opinion polls (and every election since 2016) consistently back this point. A substantial part of the 52% and an albeit smaller part of the 48% are not wholly wedded to their 2016 position, in fact many have switched sides. Would say that post Remain the 2016 52% would get even smaller than the 43-46% it currently polls at regularly

The best way to move on is either a Soft Brexit- Answers many of the Remain economic arguments, will be easier to negotiate with the EU (but still bloody difficult) and most of the economic risk is taken away. And of course honours the referendum and what the Leave campaign argued for e.g. "a good trade deal". See link.

Or Remain as frankly our current deal with the EU is miles better than any of the Brexit deals or no deals suggested in the past 3 years and a bit years.

Ironically, remain is easiest the best way to get away from the current EU discussions and move onto something else

You just previously stated, in typical whiney fashion, that Brexit is no longer happening.

What, exactly, were we supposed to do to 'sorted Brexit out in a timely and organised fashion'?

In what way is it mine or anybody else's fault that it wasn't or that BJ is currently the prime Minister? Jesus wept.
