The will of Parliament is stymied!!! What about the will of the 17.4 million people who voted leave being stymied by Parliament?

        Re: Oh dear

Posted by Joris Bohnson on 11/9/2019, 12:34:01, in reply to "Re: Oh dear "

They were sold a Leave based on a deal (sees link from the ACTUAL Leave campaign (when leaving without a deal was mentioned that was normally dismissed as PROJECT FEAR during the referendum)

So a fair chunk of that 17.4m are also being ignored by the Hard Brexiters like Johnson.

Plus the 16.8m who voted to continue our current excellent deal with the EU

So our Parliament which we all voted for a year after the referendum is without doubt protecting the "will of the people". They just aren't protecting the will of a sub-set of Leavers e.g. Hard Brexit campaigners by ruling out a No Deal crash

I am sitting on the fence. However if Boris is found to have lied about what he told the Queen, then were 17.4 million people taken in by any Boris lies on his big Red Bus and the £350 million a week ?

EU Army denials yet now it's on its way with an interventionist policy possible.

The UK has a veto on EU Military policy so canít be forced to participate in an EU Army.

              Talk about project fear.

Would make for an interesting court case though wouldn't it - some valid arguments on both sides.

Johnsonís family have got form on EU Law. His maternal grandfather, James Fawcett, was a lawyer and was a member of the European Commission for Human Rights from 1962 to 1984. He also served as its President from 1972 to 1981.

From one of the QCís involved

We believe that the effect of the decision is that Parliament is no longer prorogued.
