    Small boats

Anyone on here got a small boat? If you go on an along-the-(UK)coast trip how much does it cost when you stop overnight in small harbours along the way?

is based on the length of the boat Soi for example Levington Yacht Harbour in Suffolk charge 2.40 per metre per day for visitors

Some might say that it is the height of stupidity to take a small boat out to sea.

Depends on your definition of small and the weather forecast though really. Timothy Spall did a fantastic tv series a few years ago doing just this. It's got a similar vibe to the Gone Fishing series.

Just as well you weren't advising on the Dunkirk evacuation!

My Dad was in Naval Intelligence so I might have a connection

So that's where the intelligence went in the family! Hopefully it has just skipped a generation.

HH makes a very good point above, one worth reflecting on...especially when the poisonous ship's boy is advising the captain....
