Has anyone advocating a hard leave...

Posted by Nick PBH on 8/9/2019, 18:04:42

Yet come up with a workable plan of how it would work? The impact on the economy etc? If they have..I haveny seem it. Brexit party havent published a manifesto. Not will they . JOhnsons lot havnent got past lying about wanting a deal. Corbyns lot have sort of vaguely promised a second referendum while sitting on the fence. Wetherspoons have slashed 20 p off a selected pint. But no one has said how it will actually work? surely if its a good idea SOMEONE would have come up with a plan? So come on then ardent leavers...how do you see it working?

How many times are you going to ask that on here? As if someone on Outlaws is even vaguely likely to be able to answer that.

Well since the politicians advocating it cant...thought it would be worth a shot. So basically 52% who apparently want a hard brexit according to farage etc cant say how they think it woudl work, neither can their leaders. but its a really really good idea..

Well, most people couldn't describe how trade works today and most people don't seem even capable of recognising some of the deeply worrying trends that exist within our trade even in the EU.

Yep. So not sure how people ca say we are definitely better off out. I would guess that there are minimal or no taxes on trade in the EU. Where we do a lot of our trade. Im guessing there are taxes on trades with many other countries. So in terms of europe..its like saying your salary is 25k . but anyone who employs you has to pay tax in addition. And anything you buy has extra tax added on. Unless its in the UK. Probably a bollox theory, but in the absence of anyone being able to say what no deal means i`m sticking my neck out

We pay circa £250m+ a week for the privilege of "free" trade with the eu.

Which by the way is about 1% of government spending At a cost to you of about 33 pence per day

It's only the headline figure. We get far more back. Do you really think this shower would spend any of the rebate on anything worthwhile? Unless there was an election on its way. And even then it would be 'oh, something's happened, sorry folks, we can't spend it on the NHS, schools, etc.' Wake up.

Your/their claim that we get more money back than we put in is on a par with your/their figure of £80m prize money for third place in the last World Cup. I think I'll stick to the Treasury for my info rather than start buying the grundian.

Correct. Tariff-free trade between EU countries. Tariffs [bmust be applied to both imports and exports at the same rate to and from each country if on WTO rules. Which we will have to abide by if we leave with no deal.

Sounds a fantastic idea then...we can trade on rules we already do if there is no trade deal us and them and do the same to those we do have deals with..why doesnt everyone do this?

Sorry I meant you can't have one rate for one country and a different rate for another. I think that's the way it goes.
