    Born:

    Bert Jackson (1882, 23a 0g) · Sam Mayberry (1916, 1a 0g) · Ken Barton (1937, 12a 0g) · Emilio Lawrence (2005, 26a 2g)

Sam Mayberry was touted to take over goalkeeping duties from Joe Coen around the time World War Two broke out. In a terrible twist of fate the pair would die within a week of each other in 1941 - Coen in a aircraft training accident and Mayberry in an explosion at a Scunthorpe munitions factory.

    Debuts:

    John Clarke (1897 v Wellingborough) · RW Jeakings (1902 v Swindon Town) · Jack Hilsdon (1902 v Swindon Town) · Jim Mackey (1924 v Plymouth Argyle) · Buster Brown (1930 v Watford) · Harry Worley (2008 v Rotherham United) · Collin Samuel (2011 v Bath City)

    All Matches:

Tony Thorpe was 'welcomed' back to Kenilworth Road in 2003 for the game against QPR. Steve Howard gave Luton the lead (though one for the goals panel as the last touch was off Gary McSheffrey). Luton looked on course for the win until Thorpe, who else, set up the equaliser for Paul Furlong in the 90th minute.

An injury crisis saw Trevor Peake used as a substitute in the miserable 5-2 loss at home to Wrexham in 1997. At 40 years and 222 days old he became, and still is, Luton's oldest ever player.
