Luton Outlaws - Independent Message Board for Luton Town FC

My first Luton game was on new years eve of 1977, we beat Brighton 1-0, Bruno and Ricky ran the game, I was addicted, kenilworth Road rocked with probably nearly 15k there. The highs and lows since then have been amazing and in the last 5 years or so they have been as extreme as ever. I can therefore take days like today on the chin, there have been so so many of them, however every now and again you can clearly see one result or indeed a run of matches is part of something greater.

We are in trouble (again). Big trouble. The squad balance is wrong, completely wrong, we may only be 2 or 3 pieces away from completing the puzzle but they are key pieces and without them we are stuffed. Morale is slipping (again) at an alarming rate and not for the first time in recent history a stubborn manager is leading us in the wrong direction. I’ve no idea if Jack should go, probably yes on all recent evidence and the numbers available but maybe no in terms of potential and the ‘who else is there’ question. I sort of hate football but that’s why I love it! In Richards, benny and Marshall I wonder whether there are Ricky and Bruno types waiting to happen or maybe those days are simply long gone. I love this club because of its unpredictability and maybe the truth is most of us wouldn’t have it any other way!!!!
