Absolutely. JW fitted the GS narrative and most were aghast of the suggestion of someone like Wellens being an option.

JW maintains the media interest in the club that GS depends on.

Like most I have not criticised JW until this past week, last season he turned things around and won a lot of respect but we are in a worse position now to the one we were in last season.

It needs experience and savvy to keep that going in Division 3, the lad in midfield for Stevenage who was booked early on, didn’t draw the foul for their first goal - Dan Phillips - he ran the show, he intimidated and dominated.

We are weak and vulnerable to that.

Rather that seek that kind of strength we get another young lad who is technically excellent but half the size of who he is playing against.
