We have had all summer to prepare for the season and already the International break is seen as well timed.
The fact that we had to move to a back three to deal with defensive weaknesses so soon into the season was a warning sign, the fact that we didn’t sign a proper left back, the fact that we don’t have a trusted physical target man is just bad leadership and management.
We are well beyond the criticism levelled during the PL season, that’s old ground but we never learn, total imbalance in the squad, sideways and backwards defenders to Walsh and a keeper without any pressure on his place.
When some suggested the clubs real intentions were to minimise spend until the residential sales are complete in what 2032? most mocked. Three years later it’s looking more and more accurate. The latest recruitment approach appears to be young PL loan players, are they really what we need, are they really going to bully teams in this division?
At least PC construction is on track.
