I understand the 5 at the back when the opposition have two strikers up front as with Stockport. Last season we persisted with it no matter who we played. It meant we were outnumbered in midfield and the defence had no one to pass to so played it across the back or lumped it and hoped for the best. JW was brought in to get us playing on the front foot, which we’ve done at times. But here we go again. I don’t think he knows what he wants to do. Opposition managers have looked at our weaknesses and exploited them. Are we looking at how other teams play because he’s got it so wrong in a number of games this season. Not calling for his head but I’m not convinced he’s getting or listening to advice from his coaching team.
