    Hi everyone

    I hope you have enjoyed a summer that has been heatwave after heatwave. I don’t mind the sun but at times it’s been overbearing.

    The World Cup has been and gone and whilst the wait for glory sadly goes on, the Falklands are British. What the tournament showed the whole world is money talks within FIFA.

    Our league season is upon us and with it, the hope of all Luton supporters that we shall return to the Championship, if not as champions, then certainly promoted in whatever form that may be. The Championship is where we must be, not League One!

    Last season, in the latter part, it showed what we can be. It was a great push for the play-offs which needs to continue into this new season.

    It’s great that we have signed Kasey Palmer permanently, resigned Clark and Walsh to new contracts and added some steel and leadership in George Johnston. Emilio Lawrence has today returned on loan, joining Harrison Ashby for the season. Callum Marshall joins an exciting batch of home grown young talent including Benny Benagr, Harry Fox, Christian Chigozie and Jayden Luker.

    And it’s of course great to see a return to a white shirt after last seasons mistakes.

    In closing, a good friend said to me at the Go Ahead Eagles game, that we only have 46 home league games left at Kenilworth Road – which makes you think, doesn’t it. The countdown has started, let’s make sure that every home game, in terms of our support from the terraces, reflects pride in our club, its history and traditions that countless generations have brought to the club and ground that has made us what we are today!
