Correct. The human civilisation will most probably end not because of an asteroid colliding with us or some other global disaster, but because of us. The damage we've done to the planet since the start of the industrial revolution has been massive. And we're not learning from our mistakes. And we're not listening to scientists who are trying to guide us in the right direction. Too many deniers who are only prepared to look after themselves and by that I mean nation states aswell as 8.6 billion humans.

It's a very sad state of affairs to think that we may destroy the only planet with intelligent life on it in the Milky Way, maybe even the universe.
