6 players have been born today and they are as follows:
Jack Bradshaw (born 1892). Played one game in 1920
Harry Abbott (born 1897). Played 63 games between 1927-1929
Jim Wilson (born 1922). Played 42 games between 1948-1951
John Aston (born 1947). Played 201 games for the Hatters between 1972-1977, scoring 36 goals. He was the star of the 1968 European Cup win for Man Utd against Benfica (despite goals and the headlines, unsurprisingly, being given to Bobby Charlton, George Best and Brian Kidd). 4 years later the Hatters were fortunate enough to secure his services and his exciting wing play set up many important goals over a 5 year period.
However, for those of us lucky enough to be there and others of a certain age he will forever be remembered for his 2 goals on 3rd February 1973, which gave the Town a shock 2-0 win at Newcastle Utd in the 4th Round of the FA Cup.
Sean Dyche (born 1971). Played 15 games in 1999.
Craig McAllister (born 1980). Played 17 games in 2012.
