    I don't mind stating the bleeding obvious, it's the point of it, if there is a point. Explain what's happening for people who don't watch much football, don't know the players, can't see very well.

    Tactical or psychological insight from co-commentators is a bonus.

    What I can't stand is the Lee Dixon, Sam Matterface, Chris Sutton, Danny Murphy style "seen it all before, I'm so bored, it was better in our day when men were men and nobody dived and nobody passed it out and every single match was an end to end 8-7 thriller" attitude.
