I was very disappointed in Rice and Anderson. To compete against the better sides we need a level of control in the midfield area. Neither of these looked particularly convincing on the ball and didn't really show much to receive it off the defence, hence the amount of passes back to Pickford.

I think they are both decent players but need to step up hugely if we are to have a chance in this competition.
