4 players have been born on this day.
The first was David Noake in 1940 and this was then followed by Jim McNichol, who was born in 1958. If you read his bio on the Hatters Heritage site you will see that he holds a unique place in Football League history, whilst subsequently playing for Torquay Utd.
The third player also created his own bit of history, but this time directly associated with the club and most will remember the occasion. Born today in 1983 Claude Gnakpa will always enjoy a special place in the heart of Hatters fans, when he came on as substitute to score the winning goal in our 3-2 extra time victory in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy against Scunthorpe Utd at Wembley in April 2009.
The final player to be born on this day was Ethan Horvath in 1995.
