Oddly, my dad took me to that Argentina game. I remember the crowd getting angry with Rattin (spelling?) yet have no idea about the score.
He was also at the Portugal game, but I wasn't taken. I still have the "general" programme.
78 was my favourite, despite Scotland doing their routine of trying to lose to the "lesser" teams and turning it on for the "big" game.
82 I went travel agent and wanted flight to Malaga for Brazil game. £300 amd would probably have struggled to get ticket. Oh well,,,,

The younger fans won't have the thrill of seeing players they had never seen, or heard of before at World Cups. Unfortunately, they are all in PL nowadays.
