    Only one player born today and that was Gordon Dreyer in 1914.

    Only one member of staff has been born today but that was a very significant one, given he is the only manager to lead the club to a major honour in our history.

    In this respect our Littlewoods Cup winning manager, Ray Harford, was born 81 years ago in 1945. A fitting tribute was paid to him by LTST member Brian Ellis, following his death (after a year long struggle with cancer) in Aug 2003 and this article may be read by clicking on the relevant link above.
