With Walsall's fixture list heavily
complicated by unplayed games through
their pitch being unfit for so many weeks,
they hit uponp a novel idea to get out of
the way our Reserves' visit to them which
was postponed on two occasions.

Counts for points in combination too

They suggested and the Football Combination have agreed that whatever the
result of tonight's match shall count in the
Combination table, too.
That eases the situation for them and
saves us the expense of another trip into
the midlands. Now, our last match in the
Combination, from which we have resigned, will be next Wednesday evening
when Oxford United will be the visitors.
