He barely has 81 votes from colleagues.

He won his constituency vote by 560 votes.

He has strong ties with Mandelson.

He is centre, touching centre right.

Labour members don’t like him.

So jog on Wes and by all means resign and open this up to Burnham.

Streeting if he does act is trying to get in ahead of Burnham.

Labour won’t allow a coronation.
