I agree with what you say in the rey to ninja on sports science. It's the managers job to strike the balance I guess.

I also agree Odoffin would've been better than either player we started with but if he played an hour and got injured and missed the next few games everyone would be moaning about that as well. I'd have brought him in for Naismith in the second half, give him some minutes
