    Perhaps surprisingly, given all the players who have appeared for the club over the last 140 years +, there has not been a single debut made on this day.

    56 years ago there occurred a game that has gone down in LTFC folklore. The article describing what happened on that day at Bury can be read in the match reports section of the Hatters Heritage website, under the title “ Drunken French too hot for Bury”. That headline perhaps highlights how things have changed regarding the approach to “fitness and nutrition” since that time.

    5 players have been born on this day, with 3 of these having been born 120 years or more ago. As a result only two (Ian Henderson born in 1985 & Aaron Jarvis born in 1998) will have been watched by fans of today.
