    some jumbled thoughts

Trying to be rational but I was really hacked off after yesterday's performance and result. But now the dust has settled I still get infuriated that we have loads of possession but don't seem to know what to do with it except fanny about with it on the half way line across the defence. It's so tedious. There is little energy or life or sense of urgency. Everything is so pedestrian and it's been like this for the vast majority of the last 2 years.

Second half was better to be fair, we did at least try to up the tempo, but the defending for the goals we conceded were utterly shambolic and the height of schoolboy naivity and elementary errors.

Like I ran out of patience with Adebayo, I have run out of patience with Naismith. With the former out for so long at least he will be like a new signing whenever he returns and so will have earned a fresh start.

Richards is promising. I like him and think he could be a key player. Whilst Kadou is Ok I don't get the "exception to dropping the entire starting eleven" mentality. I don't see that in him just yet.

Yesterday brought us right back down to earth with a bump. We never looked like scoring - again - and that is a real concern. Our defensive frailties were there for all to see. Andersen is clearly not up to it and was directly responsible for their second and could have done more to prevent the first and possibly others too.

We desperately miss Clark. But our whole squad is so unbalanced who does JW play in the middle with him? Saville is going the way of Naismith for me and needs to be dropped. I'd like to see Fanne and/or Odoffin have a run of half a dozen or so games. But these players aren't anything to do with JW so no idea what JW thinks of them except the time, or lack of, given to them in competitive games. Nordas, in that respect, is also a strange one. Whilst I don't particularly rate him overall, I don't think he's actually scored less than either Wells or Yates and he certainly makes a real nuisance of himself and puts himself about which makes things happen - far more than Wells or Yates. For me, he needs far more game time. Maybe start with Browm and Nordas on Tuesday? It'll never happen though as JW seems to persist with the aforementioned Wells and Yates.

We are a complete mess with a bad mentality. This is proibably highlighting exactly what a good job Nathan Jones actualy did. It took him a while to come good but had to lay his own foundations. JW, if given the time, will also need to lay new foundations. IT'll be a miracle if we go up this season. The fact that that only 15 points separates the whole table shows how tight it is, but we look miles off being able to put a run together, but that's probably all that is needed. With Norwich and Sheff Wed in this division next year it'll likely be a tough division to get promoted from.

    That'll do for now.

Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.
