We do have players who can play there. Walters/Odoffin/Lonwijk/Makosso are 4, and then possibly Jones is a 5th, so his numbers are correct.

The question is, which of them is actually at their best when playing there, and which of them are just filling in when needed? Players can fill in from time to time, that's fine, but most of the time you want players in their best positions.

When building a squad, you probably want 2 main players for each position plus others in the wider squad who could fill in if required. Walters is a RB, so that's one. Lonwijk and Makosso are primarily centre backs, and Jones is a winger - so they fall into the latter category. That leaves Odoffin - was he signed to be one of our main options at RB? He can play elsewhere too, but if he was earmarked for that role then it could be argued that we had the right numbers in the squad. Unfortunately Odoffin and Walters have both been injured and we've had to rely on those who should only be occasional stand-ins.
