    The striker/goals situation is why we’re staring a third successive relegation in the face.

    Spending 3m on a Nordas, buying a 35 year old and then dressing up Yates as a marquee signing. Many pointed it out at the time how woefully short we were. None can play upfront on their own and nor are they out and out finishers. To think this business, along with the full backs situation, was lauded as a great recruitment period. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.

    We should have saved the cash and done all we can to keep Carlton - someone who cares, rarely gets injured and can finish.
