    Nothing we didn’t already know, really.
    This is a gutless, spineless crop of players.

    The only faint glimmers of hope on the horizon are the potential returns to fitness of Odoffin, AAH, Jones, and Brown all of whom would walk straight back into the starting XI right now.

    But hanging all our hopes on injured players returning never tends to end well for us. We've been here before.

    It’s a genuinely sordid state of affairs. The recruitment team should be cleared out entirely. It’s borderline pathetic what they’ve managed to put together, and I honestly can’t understand how anyone at the club can still have faith in their ability to identify or sign players.

    They’ve had millions to spend, yet here we are. And without parachute payments next season, how on earth are they going to cope? Bin the lot of them and start again with a structure and people JW trusts and wants.
