Look at players like Beckham and Lampard. Both were average at youth level and both decided to put in the extra hours, of their own volition, to improve their technique and fitness and they reaped the rewards ever after. You can only respect that. People who go down the route of feeling sorry for themselves put themselves into a downward spiral. They cannot be encouraged to do that. They must be encouraged to go the other way. To fight. To push through whatever is holding them back. To keep fucking going. It's the only way. Fuck playing the violin sob story. Fuck that.
