It was. One of a few bizarre injuries over the years. I recall Jake Findlay injured himself getting off a coach. Paul Futcher nearly got his ear torn off by an opponents ring - before they were taped up or taken off before the game. At Charlton I think.

It might be urban legend but didn't Fozzie crash throught the Sun Do's window pissed as a fart dressed as a Nun on a players night out. Out for the next game.

Mr J.C. Lomax having been called upon to give his opinion upon the proposed formation of a Town Club, said he was most emphatically in favour of a proposed Luton Town Football Club - 11th April 1885
