    We are definitely progressing and I think Bloomfield is doing a reasonably good job under the circumstances. He has been pragmatic and has made us first and foremost defensively sound whilst the squad goes under its biggest overhaul in years.

    Losing Jones, Walters and McGuinness to early season injuries was unlucky. I also think we lost out on our number one LWB target to Stockport. Dodgson has been excellent for them so far.

    I'm not sure we have shifted as many of the big earners or the dead wood as quickly as we'd have liked. However, as Andersen has proven, players like Mengi, Chong and Brown will show quality in this division if they stay.

    However, that could leave us with a bloated squad and might mean that we need to let Richards, Nelson and even Fanne get some regular game time out on loan.

    Its definitely a moving feast but even if all we can do before Jan is get everyone match fit, Holmes, Woodrow and Nakamba out of the door and bring in a ST and LWB - we will be well set.
