I was encouraged overall. There were some little nuggets of partnerships developing, link up play and knowing what a team mate wants. It's far from perfect though but I sort of see there's a good team in there but its that consistency we need - we did have 12 players out last night.

Bramall was not fit nor sharp but hopefully when he is, he will tie up that left side - most of Wigan's good bits came from his side.

Mr J.C. Lomax having been called upon to give his opinion upon the proposed formation of a Town Club, said he was most emphatically in favour of a proposed Luton Town Football Club - 11th April 1885
