I watched what dodgy streams would allow me to watch today, I’ve watched every other minute played so far. Don’t really care about the cup so going at 2 points a game hardly a disastrous start and maintain that average through to Xmas and we will be in a brilliant position. The issue is of course will we get close to achieving that and the evidence suggests it will be challenging to do so. I just wish we would get back to basics even if it isn’t as easy on the eye as we’d like! We don’t have fit wing backs (and yes I know the same sort of applies to full backs) but surely for now stick big nige at right back, Naismith left back and play alli and kodua as wingers. That said if we must stick to the wing back system for continuity moving forwards then at least start the game with your best team, if players aren’t fully fit get the 30 minutes out of them at the start so we get our shape and a foothold on the game, surely it’s then easier for the replacement to come and slot in to an established situation! We probably should have been beaten by 3 or 4 today so the fact that had the Nordas shot gone in we would’ve stolen a point has to be encouraging in a weird way.
