    Hi everyone,

Hope you're enjoying the summer so far.

So, we have arrived at the start of another season in the long history of this football club. In our 140th year since our formation on 11th April 1885 at a meeting in the old town hall, much has happened—far more than the original founders of our club could ever have imagined. In that time, we have seen relegations, promotions, cup wins, cup losses, points deductions, administrations, non-league and Premier League football—the highs and lows of the rollercoaster ride that is Luton Town FC. It's this that draws us all in and we still keep coming back week after week.

There are many clubs in this country, but none quite like ours. Our history is, in many ways, our greatest strength. We can look to it and learn from it—we’ve been around a very long time.

At times, we have stared into the abyss—and at one point, we nearly fell into it. Had we done so, we might never have returned. But you, the supporters, have time and again stepped up to help save the club we all love. There have been some rocky moments over the years, none more so than in what can be described as the modern era of the club. Our betrayal by the FA galvanised the supporters into a tight unit—something that brought us together in the face of a clear and present danger. It seemed they wanted us dead and buried, a lesson for other clubs to be wary of their authority. But we, the supporters, would not go down without a fight.

From those dark days emerged 2020—a fan-led consortium coming from the terraces to run the club. It was bumpy at first, but gradually, the consortium began to get to grips with the enormous task of steadying the ship. Slowly but surely, we began to see progress.

Why am I mentioning this now? The answer is simple: we need to get back to what we had back then. We need the connection between supporters and decision-makers to be back in sync. We need to be one—a unified body.

During discussions with members of the board, it's clear to us that they are as passionate about the club as we are. Of course they are. Mistakes have been made, and no doubt more will be made going forward. But like our history, those mistakes can be learned from and will, in time, become fewer. At the end of the day, we are all human—none of us are infallible. What matters now is the club. No one is bigger than the club. The club will be here as long as the supporters are—and we’re not going anywhere.

The season starts on Friday night. We need to come together and support the lads on the pitch. We need to spur them on to win this league. We need to be back in the Championship.

This is not to say that we, as the independent voice of our members at the LLSC, will stop asking questions—we do, we continue to, and we always will. But it’s hard to build something, and very easy to destroy it.

There is a feeling among many of you of distrust. After two years of mostly defeat after defeat, I get it. People are down and fed up—and rightly so. But we are financially stable. Power Court is coming along. And we still have a club.

Compare us to Morecambe, who look like they might not even have a club soon, or that once-great club Sheffield Wednesday - we are light years ahead.

My call to action is this. The season starts now.

From 8pm this Friday, we’re calling on every single Luton Town supporter to stand up and get behind the players.

We are the only constant in this club. Players come and go. Managers change. But you, the supporters, are forever.

Let’s make the old girl, Kenilworth Road, a fortress of noise, passion, and pride—a place that opposing players dread, but our lads thrive in. This is our home, and it should feel like it every single minute of every game.

In closing we have some places left on our away day trip to Peterborough we will also be organising future trips to away games and some events. Keep looking on the socials for info on these.

One club. One voice. One goal. Up the Town!

    Seize the day!
