    I really don’t get the whole “standard of football” thing with women’s football. I don’t remember any blokes having a meltdown when Keeley Hodgkinson won Olympic Gold in the 800m because her time was slower than loads of male club runners. I don’t remember anyone thinking Jess Ennis was fucking shite because 14 year old blokes can throw a shot putt further. When we won gold in three successive Winter Olympics in the women’s Skeleton the achievements of Amy Williams and Lizzie Yarnold weren’t diminished by the fact their times wouldn’t have even got them
    qualified for the men’s events.
