Our modern applications of the word "competitive" and "friendly" is in my opinion both inaccurate and annoying. The reality is that all games between 1885-1894 and beyond were all competitive to the players, the club and the supporters. We took 800 fans to the Kettering Cup Final in 1890 for instance.
We are working towards tweaking the website to include more "non competitive" games such as WW1 and 2, Ajax home, Antwerp home, AIK 1934, etc and tours. So there is hope we get an accurate history installed on the website to include 1885-1894 and beyond.
In the meantime my website will have to do. Chapters 30 through to 46 cover the games from 1892 to 1894 when J.W. Julian was captain and player coach. Chapter 45 deals with our first trophy win when J.W. lifted the Luton Charity Cup.
