The performance against Blackburn is also the reason why I’m still not convinced Alli is as good a player as fans hope.

To be fair to Bloomfield we were finding Alli as the spare man out on the left over and over again and he did absolutely jack all with the possession. He’s definitely quick and direct but he’s also very raw and instinctive for a player mid way through his career.

I’m a bit surprised by the rumours of interest in him from the likes of Leicester and Sheffield United. I’m sure he’s more than fine for League One but a top half Championship side?
