We almost have too many good centre backs though, not sure who would be first choice out of Burke, Makosso, McGuinness and Naismith when (if!) all are fit. Andersen should be good at this level, too. I guess if we do play with full backs, Burke provides cover on the right and Naismith on the left, so that would help.
If you told me that our team on the opening day was going to look something like this, then I wouldn't be too disappointed actually:
Walton
Burke - Makosso - McGuinness - Naismith
Walsh - Seville
Jones - Clark - Alli
(New striker)
But there's a need for depth in the squad if as many leave as seems to be expected.
