Clearly a positive step but surely it’s irrelevant if the players don’t fancy us or we won’t pay what they want.

Edwards and Socik had their primary targets last summer but for whatever reasons we didn’t get them. Not going over old ground, we must move on.

The situation has now significantly changed, we are the favourites for the league, we are cash rich and we will be looking at players who we can have first refusal on.

Yousuf’s work in January proved that, and by targeting players who saw Luton as a “step up” we unearthed three excellent young players.

Also feel Walton has been closely watched in Scotland and there is confidence that he is a now a reliable starter.

Good to have the announcement and some clarity, I would be interested to understand how this process works over non-league too, hopefully something that will be details when they provide further updates in due course.

But yes, positive and looking forward to see who is our first signing.
