It's for the bit directly in front of the house which is a couple of lines of paving slabs. Got a bench in the middle and have been adding pots either side but got something a bit posher the other day and thought it might get pinched. So naturally started thinking a planter might be the way to go. Definitely agree with your approach for the actual garden area though. Will be doing exactly that along the fence with next door which is currently all lawn but will soon become flowerbed.

outlaws is not the barometer of sanity.
